Don’t be Jealous of the Princess’s Glamorous Wedding

_ by JORDBUR

These days, Jordbur is not too free to browse internet but he kept on receiving tonnes of emails about a wedding of a far away princess in Kyat Pyay Nay Pyi Daw.

So Jordbur just check the links buddies send him, saw the wedding and puzzled. What Jorbur does not understand is that why expatriate Burmese and domestic folks are being jealous of the wedding of their dear leader’s princely daughter.

Cannot they see how much sacrifice those leaders had made for the country?

It is hard to be a king!!! And a king's daughter deserves a wedding worthy of a princess and JORDBUR will say why they don’t think objectively. Don’t people see that statistics tell the facts that the country is making dramatic progress?

Check at www.myanmar.com, or USDA Kyant Phyunt's official web site will give a reader statistics that Burma (sorry Myanmar) has never been well managed like this before.

Come on! We had become rich country after Tatmadaw had saved the country from the brink of chaos and dis-integration of the State! We had achieved a lot!

We have progressed at nearly double digits growth since 1988 and it has been 18 years and so our economy has more than doubled since 1988, simple mathematics.

Every Burmese is driving a SUV, living in a bungalow house, enjoying 29" Plasma TV.

Our universities have become world class, ranking higher than Oxford, Cambridge or MIT. Americans and British are queuing at entrance of Yangon University, Yangon Technological University, etc. The reputation of the quality of our average graduates is so good so that all recruiters are crowding at placement office to attract Burmese engineers, doctors, accountants, financial analysts, researchers, scientists, etc.

University graduates have to turn down job offers from foreign multinational companies as our higher education had improved too much.

Burmese become suddenly ambitious, confident, outspoken, creative, and industrious and totally transformed their society from agricultural to knowledge based economy.

Investors are frenzied with our growth potential so that economy becomes overheated.

We have to request foreign investors to look elsewhere as we cannot take them anymore.

Kyat becomes too strong so that exchange rate to US Dollars becomes 1 is to 1, it used to be 1350 Kyats to 1 US Dollars and so Burmese suddenly found themselves richer by 136,000% or 1350 folds. Burmese are travelling everywhere, living in 5 stars hotels, enjoying new found luxuries in life. Foreigners have to come and find 3D jobs in Burma as every Burmese become too educated, professionalized, sophisticated, rich and affluent and shun away from those jobs.

Economy is booming, minimum wages are rising. Every Burmese can go to pump and work for a 4 hours and could live on that wages. So that relaxed sub culture boosts creativity and we become an innovation hub and arts capital so that even Paris have to envy Yangon.

On the social aspect, we had become an egalitarian society and so there are no maid abuses, no bossiness, arrogance of bosses to their men, everyone respects one another.

We also practise meritocracy seriously so that the son of a peasant or a daughter of a trishaw master is having the same opportunities and treatment from the State, employers and promotions.

If you are good, smart and honest you can rise up to the top without paying bribes or bowing until you break your back. We respect human rights a lot too and so you will not see some armed and uniformed thugs whipping civilians in cinema queues, molesting of underage girls, those are the things of the past; our soldiers are born out of our civilian folks and not from eggs and so that they are respecting other professionals and everyone is treating other with mutual respect.

So Jordbur think our dear leader U Than Shwe had done a lot for his subjects.

Let him arrange his daughter's wedding and let little princess enjoy those diamonds. Jordbur become tired now and time to sleep again to carry on his winter dreams.

With Metta,

Yours JORDBUR

Mingalar Bar. We ordinary Burmese thank you. Hatred of the other lies in us. Especially of  those persons, families, etc., which we consider that  either through deception and or dedication for their survival and reproduction has achieved what they aimed for in life. We are no better, are we? Just  asking myself, but have no answer yet.
