An Open Letter to President Bush and Congress
_By Dr. David Law
Subject: Burma's Bag of TRICKS is the Obstacle to Freedom
Dear Mr. President and Congresspersons, Attached is an excerpt from an AP article dated Thursday 16 November 2006 in which the Burma government media accuses you of failing in Iraq. It is a cheap shot and also an attempt to dissuade you from invading Burma -- as if you ever intended to. Burma is a country with an opposition leader, Aung San Suu Kyi, loved by all, and where all people desire regime change but cannot achieve it because of their Bag of TRICKS. The regime can be changed if enough pressure is provided on the TRICKS nations, Thailand, Russia, India, China, both Koreas and Singapore/Swiss (as in Secret bank accounts). Without support from the Bag of TRICKS the dictators would capitulate. It is their military aid, diplomatic support, billion-dollar business revenues, and money laundering which prop up the regime. If you persuade these TRICKsters to stop aiding and abetting the dictators while you provide significant aid to the Opposition Burmese as well the Ethnic Freedom Groups still struggling for decades, they will be able to win their own freedom without any US military involvement. You can thus show the world America's commitment to Freedom and Democracy through peaceful means. Yours Respectfully, David Law, MD (Excerpt follows) Myanmar state media denounces U.S. occupation of Iraq AP YANGON, Myanmar (AP) - Military-ruled Myanmar's state media said Thursday that the United States-led occupation of Iraq proved that sanctions and invading a country were not the path to democracy. A commentary entitled "Democracy Lesson Provided by Iraq", published in the New Light of Myanmar newspaper, said the turmoil in Iraq showed it was not easy to transform a country into a democracy. "It is undeniable that Iraq during the time of Saddam Hussein was the most powerful country in the Middle East," the commentary said. "Then came the U.S. sanctions imposed on Iraq followed by invasion with excuses to liberate the Iraqi people and plant democracy in the country." The commentary added: "It is very doubtful that (Iraq's) puppet government, relying on foreign assistance and alien troops deployed in Iraq ... will be able to transform the nation into a democratic one."
