Burma Must Have A Good Plan

What made the US fail the trust of the world in the war of Iraq? Perhaps, the US citizens didn’t lose their faith on the government but the US had to sacrifice itself to the insurgents and other world players. Perhaps, this has embarrassed the American think-tanks in general. The President himself had to lower his tones.

Whey did the US have to force itself to face the odd with uncertain cases? Because it really wanted to make a regime change in Iraq! And the people of the United States did support the plan! In the process, all of the participants have to pay heavy prices economically, of man power and credibility on handling an important affair. A happy ending is yet to create.

Why didn’t the US wait to produce a nicer idea? Yes, there are many hidden scenes yet to be seen and many scenarios yet to get to the emotion of people. Actually, the US could topple the Saddam regime in a better manner.

When the US entered Iraq, the Iraqi people didn’t have a leadership to guide them even though they had some forms of oppositions. There wasn’t any draft constitution as uniting power. No policy was heard from the Iraqi oppositions as a governing organization how they wanted to handle Iraq after the fall of Saddam- maybe my ignorance- maybe the US didn’t allow- maybe they all didn’t think of it. There might be some predictions but they must not be that clear or they must be just wishes. As the participation of the United Nations was ruled out and as many allies of the US denied helping the liberation of Iraq led by the US even though they had been in Afghanistan, this became solely the responsibility of the US. Yet another war in Afghanistan has been an unfinished business but the Taliban was on the run and they were running to everywhere.

Here I can start about Burmese oppositions that we have to consider this profoundly. Whilst nobody can hope we’re going to be liberated now, we have time until the liberation can start. Actually, if we’re ready, liberation can be started just now- actually it is within our reach and capability as we have many requirements. However, we’re not ready. We have not enough idea, not enough support, no way but hope; without planning, hope alone is nothing more than building a castle in the air. Whilst we have plenty of time and brain power, maybe not enough financial power, we actually can plan to finish a limit of necessities- such as planning for a federation among scattering groups, drafting future constitution with all ethnical members of Burma as we intend as we all desire how we want our nation and ourselves should be. We can plan on forming an interim government or just form it with all leaders from different background which can take over the national power and keep the nation during transitional period even; the NLD leaders can be included and given positions; we can ask what their idea when they are free. After all we should become solidified. To get help and support is heavily up to our credibility. If they cannot see our future, they won’t invest; they shouldn’t invest on the failing side not capable of winning of course; considerably; just see it ourselves through their visions.

If we don’t plan, we can’t make a win. Casual politics and soothing forums are only for the cover of our plan. Our plan must be the core activities and must be hidden before revealing. We have to go for the real plan. The jobs finished for every task alone can bring desirable results and finally the complete glory to our nation. Just retrace the plans and the tasks for Burma’s independence from Britain in detail and figure out how we can plan similarly as good as possible. Significantly, we’ve achieved some satisfying results so far even though it took a very long time. We could have done better but we must do better now and in the future.

Definitely, the American has no plan for Burma like Iraq. Invasion is very unlikely. But the liberation of our nation might need both insiders and outsiders equally but sufficient power and lasting support can give us a great chance to topple the regime and keep our nation in a good shape. If China keeps supporting the regime even after its fall, it might become a fierce armed group. The soldiers and militants who favor the regime would challenge against new Burmese authority. This can happen due to misinformation, fear of persecution and support of some of the certain armed groups operating in the jungle. The plan moving to a new capital is indicating and highlighting the future plan of the Than Shwe group. This is why the regime doesn’t care who ever destroying the nation- the thugs or the corporations. Rather repairing the nation, the regime is preparing itself to face the worst scenario with all cost.

Time and money are what they want. ASEAN is what can give them time and China is what can give them arm. They have the military that can significantly decrease during the liberation but the ones who have to loyal to them will stay with them. Their preparation is clear- they’re increasing up their capacity, capital and readiness to fight back whoever the enemy will be, the US or the whole world. China, on the other hand, wants its grip on Burma for many reasons so likely it will help the regime the way it supported the communists. But the UN has no idea how to handle our cause due to our own limit. Unless we could build our chance up, we will have to face harder condition. When we have an army of our own or when the international forces help us, we can claim our authority back. The regime would finally fall; it might finally become a fearsome jungle group in northern region inside the mountains. But liberation without a drop of blood is no more than a dream. A lot of blood of the people yet to flow in order to make us free; however, only when we have made sure we can win, we should bet. We can ask Than Shwe to negotiate and finally to hand over the power to the people but this will be talking to a bull to plow. Unless, we make him head of state and give him a monarchical privilege, negotiation is a doom scenario.

Building our own army is a very difficult task. The current armed rebel groups will not become a new army because they won’t unite among themselves anyway. Hence, general uprising alone is the odds left for us and all people of Burma must forgive one another and forget the fear in order to make everyone to take part in uprising. However, this need a great leadership-I think none of the exiles can manage this to happen how it should happen as we’re in exile. The hope of 6.6.06 is just a hope. We need army itself to change side but who would be there for them to look after their capability to face well prepared Than She group? We definitely must request the international community. We must seek their involvement with their armies. But our leadership is not yet ready for that- the distance between our earth and the centre of our galaxy. Who to blame that we haven’t made a chance; indeed, we should improve more than just fooling ourselves.

Frustration is ours as we haven’t prepared ourselves for the win yet. I don’t blame anybody because nobody was born to liberate- except a few people among us. But we must think and produce all the desirable outcomes. When we find what should be done, we should do that- especially the leaders who have taken the position to handle the tasks. As long as our leaders are lazy and incapable of the jobs they’ve taken, we’re hopeless. If the leaders cannot seek the international community to help our cause, they should blame themselves. They must make a lot of changes in order to improve. They must have capability to manage to become trusted by the world community. They must make a lot of initiatives so the world would see their bright side. The world, on the other hand, collectively should support our cause and take care of Burmese people for a period of time until we can stand alone. This will keep the balance of democracy above the crimes of the inhumane governments. All the ethnics in unity definitely can make our nation to last long in peace.
