A Thay Ya Ya - A Shin Ya Ya; Wanted Dead or Alive

Comrades,

In reading U Myo's letter below about getting the regime out, dead or alive, it reminds me of a satirical character from 1970, Sa-Da-Ba-07, a parody of 007, a Burma James Bond.  He had his own bevy of pretty girls and his organization was called ATYY-ASYY which means, A Thay Ya Ya -  A Shin Ya Ya, Wanted Dead or Alive.

Satire and jokes are just a way to build up our humor and strength because we still have a long way to go. We can march the long march to victory in misery or we can march with high spirits, laughing as we go, laugh at our mistakes and laugh at the enemy's mistakes.

Personally, I prefer the high spirited way, don't you, too? That is our Burmese Way, to be able to laugh even when things are going from bad to worse.  Now, now, things are shaping up.  It is like a big ship sloooowly turning around 180 degrees and seems to be heading towards our way.  So this is all the more reason to laugh and be happy.

Thaksin is going to be taken out soon. Thing kha yah, thing kha yah...  Nothing is permanent...nothing is permanent.... and this will signal to Than Shwe, now that his nhama-pay-yoo yauk pha (brother-in-law) is sinking, he too, will sink. The PM of Kalah, Kalam, is a kind of tall, like a kalam kalah, and his long hair makes him look like a wild boar with tusks growing down from his forehead. 30 years ago, if he came to Burma like this, Ne Win would have scolded him for being a lan-thayair road devil.

Well, Kalam Kalah is now coming to Burma soon....why?  Because his Oil and Gas Minister came here in January, hoping to buy Shwe Gas, only to be told after arrival that it was already promised to China.
So now, Kalah Kalam himself, shamelessly, is going to beg and lick the bottom of_ bear my language_ Than Shwe to get Shwe's Gas.  You bet all he will get is Than Shwe's EE-gas (fart).  Ee bair yah mair
India will continue to lose out to China which will then proceed to swallow Burma like the way a python swallows its prey.

This is when all patriotic people of Burma will reach breaking point and explode.  Even the Tatmadaw will break out and finally revolt, joining the people. We will not put up with such a national humiliation, and neither will they.  From being the Myithu Tatmadaw (Whose Army? Than Shwe's or Maung Aye's; Ayoo Army or Amoo Army?) they will truly become a genuine Pyithu Tatmadaw (People's Army)

How long will that take for this to happen?  I do not know.  But be prepared for the long, long haul.  In 9-9-99, we tried to prepare. I went to Thailand 3 times that year and gave help at the Thai-Burma border.   But nothing big built up, solely because SPDC was too oppressive.  James Mawdsley and others tried, and were suppressed.

Now, also, in 2006, they will try to suppress any and every little bit of dissent and revolt.  But now, the US, EU and UN are looking at Burma through a microscope.....  Think of Su Su Nway.  Ten years ago, if someone like her in her situation were to hit the news, the US would not say a word.  Yes, I remember back in 1993 when I stood up in a class of 200 lieutenants from all over America. This was in the OBC, Officers' Basic Course.  The major was talking about military intervention.  I got up and described the civil (or rather uncivil) war in Burma.  He laughed at my words and ridiculed me, saying, the US does not and cannot interfere in other countries' internal affairs, and the other 200 officers all laughed.

That was then.  1993.  That was BEFORE 1995 Bosnia intervention, 1998 Kosovo bombings,  2001 Afghani liberation, and of course the 2003 Iraqi liberation.

All right, so in 1999, the government was too strong and the opposition could not start any revolt.

Now, things are changing. Than Shwe is getting old and senile, tha-ngair-pyan, and king-crazy, bayin-yoo-yoo.  Moving to Pyinmana will be his downfall.  If the mountains and forests can provided shelter and refuge for him, so can it provide the same for the Freedom Forces.

If he thought that exploding bombs in Rangoon and Mandalay and elsewhere would have incited the people's anger, he is only partly right.  The people ARE angry -- at SPDC and hold them responsible for the inhuman blasts.

So this time, 6-6-6 will be the start of the national conflagration. It will not be short. The Revolution, I mean.  It will be a long, drawn-out process, a sort of  "yay shay see man gain.", long term process.   So be prepared to make additional hits all through the year,  year after year continuing to: _

7-7-7, Remember Rangoon University ! and then—

8-8-8, Remember the Four Eights, and –

9-9-9, Learn from the lessons of the Four Nines and finally win the victory.

ATYY-ASYY! (I hope it does not go to 10-10-10)

Ayaydawboan Aungyahmyi,

Yebaw Day
