Revolution Day Activities in London
Burma Digest learned that Burmese democracy activists led by Burmese Democratic Movements Association (BDMA, UK) made demonstrations outside military regime's London Embassy on March 27, 2006. The activists showed there support to NLD's proposals for national reconciliation, and urged regime to accept NLD's proposals.

Statement on 61st Resistance Day
Date-March 27, 2006 London Today is the 61st anniversary of Burma’s ‘Revolution Day’ which is of historical significance as the entire people together with ‘unity’ against the brutal fascist regime. “It was the Victory Day of the Burmese People”, Chairman of the Democratic Federation of Burma, Ko Moethee Zun told, “This Revolution Day should be a time to continue the second revolution against the current military regime”. Although the entire people annihilated the fascists sixty years ago, the situation in Burma has not changed until now.
So we, Democratic Federation of Burma, would like to urge the entire people to strive energetically hand-in-hand with the democratic forces against the brutal military regime to restore democracy and human rights in Burma.
