Protest in London on Junta's Genocide
There was a demonstration in front of Burmese military regime's embassy by human rights activists in London, on the Global Day of Action to STOP ATROCITIES in Burma (16.05.2006). It was organized by Burma Campaign, Christian Solidarities Worldwide and ethnic communities in UK, and attended by about a hundred activists, including ethnic nationalities, Burmese people and a lot of international friends. Ruth Rogers, one of the most gifted young musicians in Britain (Musical Opinion), played violin and participated in demonstrations. A "STOP ATROCITIES" request, organized by BURMA DIGEST and signed by Karen, Kachin, Chin, Arakan, Shan, Rohinger communities and distinguished Burmese democrats around the world, was delivered to regime's embassy after the event. Dear Anna, Khin Saw, and Feraya, this is such excellent
coverage! If it will not endanger the people, it would be nice to have
short captions. Also, if the Kbytes are not too much, maybe a URL for some
of the slogans that were shouted out.
