16th Anniversary Election Victory Celebrated around the World

As 27 May 2006 was the 16th Anniversary of the one and only democratic election within last fifty years in Burma, celebrations were held by Burmese expatriates all over the world.

National League for Democracy and allied parties won a huge landslide victory in that election, but SPDC military regime has been refusing to recognize elections results for these 16 long years.
