WORLD WIDE PRAYERS ON 19TH JUNE 2006,

Prayers on DAW AUNG SAN SUU KYI’S BIRTHDAY

 

AN APPEAL TO THE PEOPLE OF BURMA

On 19th June 2006 fall on the 61st birthday of DASSK.

On that auspicious birthday of hers we call on everybody to wish her good health and for the speediest success of the movement for democracy and justice in Burma of which she has been leading.

We would request that offerings of food, water, 3 candles and Eugenia flowers to be made to Buddha at the local Pagodas and monasteries including the following;

Shwe Dagon (Rangoon)

Sule (Rangoon)

Shwe Maw Daw (Pegu)

Shwe San Daw (Prome)

Kyaik Than Lan (Moulemein)

Mya Tha Lun (Magwe)

Shwe Sar Yan (Tha Ton)

Mya Thein Tan (Bassein)

Prayers are to start simultaneously at 11am (BST) and end at 3pm (BST). The 2nd prayer program is to start in home at 6pm (BST) with recitation of PAHTAN, offering of candles and Eugenia flowers to be made to Buddha.

To pray for the release of DASSK and political prisoners and all other;

Expatriate people from Burma should start proceeding at the respective local times of 11am.

Non-Buddhist believers are also petitioned to participate with the own prayers and customs.
