AEIOU Expectations from Students
Attendance – Students will attend every class session unless excused due to illness. Punctuality - Students will arrive to class on time (especially following breaks). Self-Discipline – Students will complete all home work including reading assignments, written assignments, and project assignments and study as needed to develop mastery of the material. Attitude – Students will be active learners and will demonstrate a positive attitude in class through their attentiveness and active participation in class discussions. Remember the Burmese word of A Nandaw A Nanda Nga Par (teaEœm teEœ ig;yg;) the core value of the people of Burma is strictly enforced. Cooperation – Students will cooperate with teachers, staff, and other students in a friendly, supportive manner. Flexibility – As often occurs in the larger world, living conditions and activities may change or may be different from those expected by the student. As a result, successful students must demonstrate flexibility. Students will demonstrate the ability to adapt to AEIOU living conditions with a positive and helpful attitude towards change. ********** Academic Expectations for Students
Course Grade - Students will demonstrate mastery of the subject through their class participation, written work, and examinations. Course grades are given as letter grades as follows : A+ = meets 90% or more learning objectives for this course A = meets 80-89% of learning objectives. B+ = meets 70-79% of learning objectives. B = meets 60-69% of learning objectives. C + = meets 59% and lower of learning objectives C = meets 49% and lower of learning objectives F = is less than 40%. Failed and not qualify to continue for the next semester.
