U Tin Oo's Birthday Celebrated in Japan

Pro-democracy activists from Burma celebrated the 80th birthday of U Tin Oo this week in Japan. U Tin Oo is the deputy leader of the National League for Democracy NLD, which under the leadership of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi won landslide victories in 1990 general elections in Burma; military regime has been refusing to recognize the election results since then.
