Evidence of Indian Police Brutality on Kuki Students

Kuki Students in India with some Kuki students from Burma held a protest rally on 23rd March 2007against the abduction of over 500 Kuki ethnic people (nearly 550 Kuki villagers, mostly women and children) by combined force of Meitei Militants group, UNLF (United National Liberation Front) and Burmese SPDC military regime troops since 13 March Morning.

Indian Police cracked down on the Kuki Students’ demonstration. 

Over 30 Kuki Students were severely injured when police used tear gas, water canon, rubber bullets and batons; and about 160 student demonstrators were put in Indian jail.
