International Press Freedom Day

International pro-democracy activists carried out an International Press Freedom Day ceremony in Malaysia on 05.05.2007, where a lot of presentations were made to highlight the lack of Press Freedom and the overwhelming all-round oppression by the military regime in Burma. At the ceremony a call for the release of the leading pro-democracy journalist U Win Tin who has been in jail since 1989, and also a performance art of a violinist with a political prisoner (actor) were made.
