250th Anniversary of the Fallen Day of Hongsawatoi

May 8, 2007 marks the 250th anniversary of the fallen day of Hongsawatoi Mon kingdom.Hongsawatoi Mon kingdom was invaded and occupied by the Burmese Kings.

On May 8, 2007, about 60 MRC members staged demonstration outside of UN Headquarters in New York to mark the 250th Anniversary of Mon Kingdom Hongsawatoi Fallen Day.

   
   

The Hongsawatoi Fallen Day (HFD) was also cerebrated in Sangkhlaburi Town & Maesod, Thailand, with the programs of (1) Giving alms to Buddhist monks; (2) Hold HFD ceremony and (3) Pray for those who died in Hongsawatoi (Pegu) last 250 years ago.
