Statement of Three

We believe that the State Peace and Development Council (SPDC) has no desire to bring democracy to our suffering people; instead, they intend to put them under their military boots and treat them as slaves.

We believe that freeing Burma from military slavery is the duty of every citizens living in Burma and abroad.

We whole heartedly support the current peaceful initiative made by 88 Generation students who bravely declare to fight for their rights without hesitation and retreat.  We salute to those brave spirits and totally support their right to practice their praying ceremony.

It was risky and dangerous for the activists to continue their activities because the government sponsored thugs similar to the Nazi “brown shirts” blocked the roads and threatened the 88 Generation students and their supporters to reach to their destination.

We warn the regime not to make tricks by cowardly using the words “people” to attack and threaten the peaceful prayers.  Their so-called “people” are their sponsored crime organization called “Union of Solidarity and Development Association” (USDA) and military intelligence not the real people.  We warn them to abandon their wicket tactics once and for all.

Any violent action against the peaceful activists is the responsibility of the SPDC. Without permission from the regime, these thugs would not threaten the participants who are praying peacefully for the release of political prisoners in Burma including 1991 Nobel Peace Laureate, Aung San Suu Kyi.

Our goal is to encourage and cooperate with the people to stand up and fight for their rights.  We see uprising inside Burma as the only force that will topple the ruthless regime and its cronies.

We will work as a special pressure group that will find all means to pressure the regime and at the same time to encourage the people to rise up for their freedom and dignity

Some Burma specialists said both ASEAN constructive engagement policy and US led economic sanction are not working, and as a result, they want to try another way that is to channel concentration on humanitarian aid.

Unfortunately, the regime’s rejection of the renewal of registration for 24 independent organizations indicates that the third desired approach failed even though it has not started yet.

The Interior Ministry issued a letter numbered 200/68, dated April 11, 2007.  It said the ministry did not approve the renewal of 24 independent organizations.  According to the letter six religious organizations, four educational organizations, four business organizations, four social related organizations, three health organizations, two ethnic organizations and one sports organization have been denied.

Why the regime refused to renew their registration?  We believe that those organizations are far more effective then regime sponsored organization, the USDA, to help people and those organizations were somewhat closer to the opposition party NLD.

We strongly believe that future democratic regimes need a strong civil society; current motivation of shrinking existing civil society in Burma is a clear indication of the SPDC regime’s unwillingness to give up their grip on political power.  We believe that a civil society is crucial not only for achieving democracy in Burma but also to maintain it.  We all have to fight for our freedom and return the political power to its sole owner, the people.

We urged the Burmese army personnel to listen to the voice of the people and try to understand who is using the army for its own benefit and not for the country and the people.

Burmese people do not deserve to suffer like this; they are your people, your parents, your relatives, and your sons and daughters.  Soldiers are born from the people.

We urge the Army commanders to join the people and save them from the military dictatorship.  General Than Shwe’s daughter wedding proved that they are highly corrupt and totally forget about the plight of the Burmese people.  We strongly believe that Burma needs a strong and dedicated army, which cares about its own people and respect the people’s will, but we do not believe in military dictatorship and its lawless treatment of the Burmese people.

Burma needs the generals like General Ramos and Enrile from Philippine who joined with the people in 1986 people power movement, which toppled down the dictator Marcos.  As a result, they became beloved leaders of the Pilipino people.  The commander who joins with the people will be well respect by the Burmese people.

We strongly believe that the military regime has no desire to negotiate with the opposition when they have total control of the army and get support from China, India and ASEAN members.

We will not seek for negotiations and dialogue with the regime but we will not oppose the leading political party National League for Democracy (NLD), 88 Generation Students and ethnic organizations, which are tirelessly seeking the political solution through dialogue.  We are standing on the different geo-political setting.  Therefore, we choose the hard line approach.  Our mission is to cripple the regime by using non compromising and non-negotiation strategy that they have never experienced in the past.

We strongly believe that when the regime cannot maintain the stability of the country, the support for the regime by foreign countries will fade away and the time will be right for the uprising.

We urge the people to have faith and wait for the final touch down.

You must know how to maintain the fight on military government, but you do not need to look back; very important to look forward.
