Our Duty . _ By Sakkyar Hein The so called Union Solidarity& Development Association can evolve into a formidable tool in Gen. Than Shwe's attempt to establish a military dynasty in Burma. Underestimating USDA could be our Waterloo one day. Than Shwe's Seven Step Road Map could not be implemented without USDA background and involvement. If given his way USDA would become Than Shwe's tool in propping himself to the Top Spot in Burma, whether anyone likes it or not. Of course, Daw Suu would be marginalized, completely driven or kept out of the political process of Burma as evidenced today; Daw Suu is given another one year term under house arrest and incommunicado. She will never be freed or allowed to participate in the political process of Burma as far as Than Shwe or his henchmen are concerned. Yes, the people of Burma en masse and in unity specifically, should stand up to the injustice, corruption, bullying and uncivilized practices of the ruling military junta in everyway, physically, if called for or required primarily. Then they should attempt to derail or destroy the military regime's administrative, economic, social mechanisms etc. in order to destabilize its rule which is already in disarray as at present. Ultimately, shows of public displeasure or disobedience collectively and en masse on the part of the people of Burma specifically, could trigger the military regime into taking wrong steps and making mistakes ultimately culminating in differing views among the ruling elite which would finally result in the clashes among the various existing cliques and factions in today's armed forces. As known widely, the young generation military officers are seeing the light and are not in all accordance with the ruling generals of today. In the advent of a scenario when they have to take sides, they will certainly join their brethren in the populace and take their chance to clear themselves of the unholy and satanic alliance with the present day ruling clique led by Than Shwe and Maung Aye, and will be born again as the true sons and daughters of the people, obliged to defend their country, religion and people, as in the first place willed and professed by our much beloved founder of Burma and today's standing Burma Army the late General Aung San, father of Burma's freedom fighter and world icon of democracy Daw Aung San Suu Kyi. As for us people living and fighting from abroad, we can help and encourage our brethren in Burma to carry on the fight against the military rulers by lobbying and securing international community's help and know-how to force out military rule from Burma.
