Daw Suu Birthday Celebration in Denmark

On the auspicious 62nd birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi (19.06.2007), democracy loving people in Hinthada Township, in the Irrawaddy Delta region of Burma Burma, celebrated her birthday to show their support for her relentless struggle for the oppressed people of Burma and her undaunted spirit. Buddhist prayers were also said for her health, peace and freedom.

Military regime's police came to the ceremony to intimidate and stop it. They took the list of the names of all the guests attending the ceremony. And they even put the Buddhist Monastery, at which the ceremony was taking place, into black list so that the abbot of the Monastery will never again get any alms or donations from the government authorities.
