Daw Suu Birthday Celebration in London

On the auspicious 62nd birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi (19.06.2007), pro-democracy activists in London celebrated her birthday to express their solidarity with her and the entire people of Burma.

They made mass demonstrations at the Downing Street to request more and better efforts by the British government for freedom of Daw Suu and all political prisoners in Burma.

They also made protests in front of Burmese military regime embassy to demand immediate release of Daw Suu and all political prisoners in Burma.

There was also a reception at the Westminster (House of Commons) in honour of Daw Suu's birthday.

Buddhist prayers were also said at London Colindale Monastery for her health, peace and freedom.
