Daw Suu Birthday Celebration in India

On the auspicious 62nd birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi (19.06.2007), pro-democracy activists in Hindi Bhavan, New Delhi, India celebrated her birthday to express their solidarity with her and the entire people of Burma, and feeling proud for her on her relentless struggle for the oppressed people of Burma and her undaunted spirit.

There were abound 250 participants from Burmese community and Indian Political parties, MPs, scholars and others. The event was organized by National League for Democracy and Indian Parliamentarian Forum for democracy in Burma. The organizing committee also inaugurate a book "Prison of Conscience in Burma" in remembrance of Daw Suu.
